C.S Lewis said that “Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one!” This ARISE faith sharing opportunity has provided a platform for many to establish this friendship based on our faith journey. Having a group of adults, who are on the same path, to talk with and support each other has been very helpful, rejuvenating, and has given me hope and encouragement, of which I am grateful. ARISE Together in Christ is a parish- centered process of spiritual renewal and evangelization that enables people to deepen their faith, develop a closer relationship with Christ, grow in community, and reach out in service to others. The ARISE process applies the standard of Christ to all areas of life. It emphasizes people living in good relationship with one another, as they make concrete applications of the Gospel to their life situations.
If you were unable to participate in our first season, don’t miss the chance to be a part of our Second Season of ARISE beginning the week of February 10th!
All parishioners will have an opportunity to sign-up as a member of an ARISE small faith sharing community beginning the weekend of January 12th & 13th after all weekend Masses in the Church Vestibule.
As a part of this community you will meet with fellow parishioners for 1-2 hours a week to reflect on the scriptures, to reflect on your life, and to reflect on the ways that God has been moving in your life and the lives of your small community members.
ARISE small faith sharing communities will consist of 8-12 people and will meet in one of the community member’s home. Each community will meet once a week for six weeks, and each group will have 1 (0r 2) group facilitators who will help to guide the reflection process.
