"The liturgy, through which 'the work of our redemption takes place,' especially in the divine sacrifice of the Eucharist, is supremely effective in enabling the faithful to express in their lives and portray to others the mystery of Christ and the real nature of the Church."

Liturgy, Prayer & Sacraments

God forms our life together as a parish through prayer and the Sacraments, especially our celebration of the Sunday Mass.  As we seek to deepen our participation in the Sacramental life of the Church, Christ the King offers many opportunities for sacramental preparation and common prayer:

  • The RCIA Process serves non-Catholics who would like to explore the Catholic faith or possibly become Catholic.
  • Sacramental preparation programs are available for all those preparing for Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation and Holy Matrimony
  • Several parish initiatives are designed to support vocations to priesthood and religious life.
  • On the first Thursday of every month, we offer Eucharistic Adoration from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with Benediction to close the period of exposition.
  • Parishioners lead a weekly rosary every Monday at 7:30PM in the North Chapel; this rosary is offered especially to remember the sanctity of human life.

During the seasons of Lent and Advent, we pray traditional devotions or offer special evenings of prayer.  During these sacred seasons many of our parishioners also form small faith-sharing groups to enter more deeply into the prayer of those seasons.
