“We Walk by Faith, Not by Sight.”
God is constantly knocking at the gate of my heart to invite me to go beyond the state I have reached,
because my whole life should be a journey on the way to Love.
Few souls understand what God would effect in them if they should give themselves
entirely into his hands and allow his grace to act.
St. Ignatius of Loyola
A dead thing can go with the stream, but only a living thing can go against it.
Education is one of the most important ways by which the Church fulfills its commitment to the dignity of the person and the building of community.
Education is the art of helping young people to completeness; for the Christian, this means education is helping a young person to be more like Christ, the model of all Christians.
All those involved in a Catholic school-parents, pastors, teachers, administrators, and students-must earnestly desire to make it a community of faith which is indeed “living, conscious, and active.”
It is a great privilege to be able to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for an unlimited time. There is no greater place to bring your prayers, concerns and thoughts than the presence of the Lord. I find it easier to focus my thoughts during Eucharistic Adoration and the energy you receive from the experience will be with you forever!
Parishioner at Christ the King parish
Hope means hoping when things are hopeless, or it is no virtue at all.
And faith means believing the incredible, or it is no virtue at all.
Encourage each other daily while it is still today.
Do everything as if He were dwelling in us. Thus we shall be His temples
and He will be within us as our God – as He actually is.
Eucharistic Adoration allows me a time to set aside my daily routines and visit with Jesus. I see Jesus as waiting for us to come and spend time with Him. Come let us adore Him.
Reflection on Eucharistic Adoration by a parishioner at Christ the King
We shall always place education side by side with instruction; the mind will not be cultivated at the expense of the heart.
To make the sign of the cross is to pronounce a visible and public yes to him
who died for us and who is risen, to the God who in the humility and weakness
of his love is omnipotent, stronger than all the power and intelligence of the world.
We shall steer safely through every storm so long as our heart is right,
our intention fervent, our courage steadfast, and our trust fixed on God.
